Meta-monitoring & comprehension tool
Students surfing through course web pages are often distracted from outside influences, e.g., siblings, television, etc. This tool is probably best utilized to help scaffold students' understanding of course content by querying them at specified times during their browsing. Essentially, after a course page loads, you can insert a timer that will open the tool, i.e., a new browser window that poses questions to students in order to get them to make their understanding overt. Great, but how do you insert a timer into a page of course content so that it can load the tool?
